²⁶The kings of the earth set themselves,
and ^(A)the rulers were gathered together,
against the Lord and against his ^(B)Anointed’^[a]—

²⁷for truly in this city there were gathered together against your ^(C)holy servant Jesus, ^(D)whom you anointed, both ^(E)Herod and ^(F)Pontius Pilate, along ^(G)with the Gentiles and ^(H)the peoples of Israel, ²⁸^(I)to do whatever your hand and ^(J)your plan had predestined to take place.
